Things Talent Practitioners Think About – a Round Table – Complimentary

December 7, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm EST

So maybe you’re new to the field of Talent Management, have an interest in people, or fell into HR by accident.  This “Things Talent Practitioners Think About” quarterly round table will delve into key information to know and put you deeper into the science and foundational research that drives our industry — strengthening the methodology and relevance of all you do.

Join our club. This talent practitioner’s round table is the place where we can discuss essential information in our field; foundational studies, science-driven talent solutions, best practices and straightforward application you can take back to your job.  Take control of your professional brand, especially if you didn’t study HR or Talent Management in school, or your path to HR hasn’t been a straight line.

  • Create a forum to discuss foundational research and seminal studies that drive our field  — as well as ‘hot topics’ in our professional space
  • Discuss research-based best practices in a variety of applications: Competency Models/KSAs, 360 Feedback and Coaching, Selection and Interviewing and High Potential Management
Each Round table will:
  1. Define and explore a specific talent discussion area, determine the pressure we as practitioners are feeling, and collaborate on what is being asked of us in the area of practice
  2. Introduce one to two seminal research-based articles (important to know) that has greatly impacted our topic area as well as key people/thought leaders to know or follow within the literature
  3. Discuss best practices and application ideas
  4. Create a Q and A Round table to discuss and challenge our approaches and mindsets around talent
  • Elevated expertise as a knowledgeable talent practitioner
  • Foundational research-based know-how and application
  • A common language of talent

Who should attend?

  • Early career talent practitioners, those new to the field of Talent Management, and students
  • Veterans in our field who want to revisit, discuss and enjoy a discussion around seminal studies and best practices
  • Those interested in how talent impacts the bottom line of an organization
  • Anyone interested in research-based approaches to talent

Complimentary Registration Includes your facilitated discussion with experienced practitioners well-versed in the science behind talent, key research articles cited or resourced for you to access (or when possible will be provided), as well as a robust discussion around talent for those who want to create a strong baseline of knowledge in our field.

Facilitators:  Lisa-Marie Hanson and Garrick Throckmorton

Come to one of the standalone sessions, or RSVP and mark your calendar for them ALL in the series, to amp up your knowledge in the field of Talent Management.
